Dear Friend

Dear friend,
When I die, don’t come near my body, because my hand may not be able to wipe your tears anymore.
One day, I’ll leave the world and never come back, you will cry when you see my number, you will miss me when you sit alone, won’t be able to hear my laugh and voice again…
There will be no more me to imitate, tease, make you laugh and say sorry stupidly. Tears might flow out of your eyes but I will be gone, long and forever. So, enjoy my silly stupid company as much before I close my eyes forever

p.s : obviously this is not originally from me :P

ENJOY YOUR MONDAY!

How about my Monday? I was fun! Especially on Malay language class today J we were instructed to perform one poem from each team. After we were done, we were told to sing a song to match with the poem. And guess what? Our team got stuck and don’t know which poem to perform so in the end I told them to use ‘Dirgahayu Bahasaku’ because I know the song. Of course I’m the one to sing it. It was super embarrassing but I enjoyed it.  At the end of the class, we sang Hari Raya songs together. It was so much fun.

Bill Gates' High School Speech on the Eleven Rules of Life-Fiction!

Bill Gates whose full names are William Henry Bill Gates III was born October 28, 1955 in Seattle, Washington USA. Bill founded the world biggest software company (Microsoft) with Paul Allen. He has been ranked, several times, as one of the top wealthiest people in the world. He was the  wealthiest  overall from 1995 to 2009 except when he was ranked 3rd in 2008. He is a renowned philanthropist who donates often to several charity organizations. This Harvard dropout is net-worth US$54Billion.
Bill Gates spoke before a group of high school students and gave them his eleven rules of life. Whether you like Bill Gates or not...this is pretty cool. Here's some advice Bill Gates recently dished out at a high school speech about 11 things they did not learn in school. He talks about how feel-good, politically correct teaching has created a full generation of kids with no concept of reality and how this concept sets them up for failure in the real world.

RULE 1
Life is not fair - get used to it.

RULE 2
The world won't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.

RULE 3
You will NOT make 40 thousand dollars a year right out of high school. You won't be a vice president with car phone, until you earn both.

RULE 4
If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss. He doesn't have tenure.

 RULE 5
Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your grandparents had a different word for burger flipping
they called it Opportunity.

RULE 6
if you mess up, it’s not your parents' fault, so don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them.

RULE 7
before you were born; your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you are. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parent's generation, try delousing the closet in your own room.

RULE 8
Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life has not. In some schools they have abolished failing grades and they'll give you as many times as you want to get the right answer. This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.

RULE 9
Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you find yourself. Do that on your own time.

RULE 10
Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.

RULE 11
Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one.

Hmmm....

Hmmm….
I got 2 things to tell today~ J
I’ll start with the first one…

My house has a new kitten, my father picked it up. He said he picked it up on the road in front of the place he works. To make the story short, he saw cars and lorries stopped in the middle of the road, so he took a look and found that they were avoiding cats. Its brothers already died and it is the only survivor.

I don't know how to snap its picture because it is too black.

This is what happens when I used flash..
there was another cat sitting above hehe
It took me around 3 days so I can touch it. It was wild. It would bite me when I got near so it was hard for me to give it milk. I had to wrap it with towel. But it is good now. It loves to bite my toes when it is hungry and sit on my laps when I am eating. Of course it climbs to my laps with its tiny claws… (It hurtsL

And now with the second one, just a simple moral story I found (^_^)

One day, a rich dad took his son on a trip. Wanted to show him how poor someone can be. They spent time on the farm of a poor family.
On the way home, dad asked, “Did you see how poor they are? What did you learn?”.
Son said, “We have one dog, they have four, we have pool, they have rivers, we have lanterns at night, they have stars, we buy foods, they grow theirs, we have walls to protect us, they have friends.” Then they headed, “Thanks dad for showing me how poor we are.”
MORAL LESSON: It’s not about money that makes us rich, it’s about simplicity of having God in our lives.

A Tragic Love Story

I found this on facebook and decided to share it ^_^

Once upon a time,
There was a guy who was very much in love with a girl. This romantic guy folded 1,000 pieces of paper cranes as a gift to his girl.
Although, at that time he was just a small executive in his company, his future doesn’t seemed too bright, they were very happy together.

Until one day, his girl told him she was going to Paris and will never come back. She also told him that she cannot visualize any future for the both of them, so let’s go their own ways there and then…

heartbroken, the guy agreed.

When he regained his confidence, he worked hard day and night, slogging his body and mind just to make something out of himself. Finally with all these hard work n with the help of friends, this guy had set up his own company…

"U never fail until u stop trying” He always told himself."I must make it in life!"

One rainy day, while this guy was driving, he saw an elderly couple sharing an umbrella in the rain walking to some destination. Even with the umbrella, they were still drenched.

It didn’t take him long to realise those were his ex-girlfriend’s parents.

With a heart in getting back at them, he drove slowly beside the couple, wanting them to spot him in his luxury sedan.
He wanted them to know that he wasn’t the same anymore; he had his own company, car, condo, etc. He had made it in life!!

Before the guy can realise, the couple was walking towards a cemetary, and he got out of his car and followed them…and he saw his ex-girlfriend, a photograph of her smiling sweetly as ever at him from her tombstone…
and he saw his precious papercranes in a bottle placed beside her tomb.

Her parents saw him. He walked overand asked them why this had happened. They explained, she did not leave for France at all. She was stricken ill with cancer. In her heart, she had believed that he will make it someday, but she did not want her illness to be his obstacle…therefore she had chosen to leave him.

She had wanted her parents to put his paper cranes beside her, because, if the day comes when fate brings him to her again he can take some of those back with him. The guy just wept …

The worst way to miss someone is to be sitting right beside them but knowing you can’t have them and will never see them again.

The End

I love Folktale :D

Before I start, Hey everyone~ it has been a while since I last posted anything here. I thought I may as well post this since I have free time right now.

Let’s start with local folktale from Malaysia, Ulek Mayang.
Ulek Mayang is a classical dance from the state of Terengganu in Malaysia. It is a type of worshipping dance in which a unique song is sung accompanied with a Malay orchestra comprising drums, gong, violin and accordion.
The Ulek Mayang is said to have originated with a sea-princess who fell in love with a fisherman. The princess enchanted the fisherman so that his body remained unconscious. A bomoh (shaman) conducted a healing ritual to bring the fisherman's soul back, to which the princess responded by calling on five of her sisters. The battle between the bomoh and the 6 princesses continued until the seventh and the eldest princess appeared and put an end to it.
"I know all your origins” says the eldest princess and she commands everyone, "Let those from the sea to return to the sea, and those from the land to return to the land".
The grateful bomoh and the fisherman’s colleagues present the princess with coloured rice as an offering to the spirits of the sea. This practice, along with the Ulek Mayang dance, continued until the Islamic revival movement of recent decades.
The dance consists of 10 to 15 people in a circle to worship the seven princesses (the sisters of the sea-princess). It is usually conducted at night. The Ulek Mayang song is usually sung to accompany the dance.
The Ulek Mayang song is a unique song accompanying the dance. The song is claimed by some Malaysians as haunted for it gives goose bumps and creepy feelings, especially if played at the beach.

I persuade the Mayang
Persuade it with nets
I heal with Mayang
Bringing back to health

1 liter of tears

Yesterday I spent most of my time in school at the library to help my friends prepare for debate competition. After recess, when I walked around the library, I saw a book. The title was “I don’t want to be crazy” by Samantha Schutz. The book caught my attention so I took it. I put it beside me just in case if I had free time, I want to read it. I took a quick look at the back of the book to look for the description. It was a true story of growing up, breaking down, and coming to grips with a psychological disorder. In the end, I don’t have a chance to read the book because my teacher took it. It seems like the book caught her attention too and after that, my friends took it.

The book somehow reminded me of a drama I watched around a year ago. It was based on a true story about a teenage girl named Aya Kitō was diagnosed with a disease called spinocerebellar Degeneration when she was 15 years old. The disease causes the person to lose control over their body, but because the person can retain all mental ability the disease acts as a prison. So in the end she cannot eat, walk or talk.
Through family, medical examinations and rehabilitations, and finally succumbing to the disease, Aya must cope with the disease and live on with life until her death at the age of 25.
Shortly before her death, her diary was published. Initially, the diary's purpose was for Kitō to chronicle impressions she had about how the disease was affecting her daily life. As the disease progressed, however, the diary became Kitō's outlet for describing the intense personal struggles she underwent in coping, adapting, and ultimately trying to survive her disease. As she notes in one entry, "I write because writing is evidence that I am still alive."
The diary was given the title of “1 liter of tears” also called A Diary with Tears or A Diary of Tears. The diary has sold over 1.1 million copies in Japan alone.
I heard that the book can be bought at Kinokuniya Bookstore at KLCC. Now I really want to buy it.

Mother's love

****** A MOTHER’S LOVE******

A mother’s love is special
Her heart is pure and kind, And no matter
what she's doing
She'll always find time.
Time to stop and listen,
And wipe your tears away.
To smile and make things better
In every single way.
She goes about her business
Doing what she has to do,
But you know that if you need her
She is always there for you.
So when you say a prayer tonight,
Say thanks to God above.
For giving you the privilege
To have known a mother’s love.

Sometimes, at night, before I went to sleep, I imagined what if one day, I lost my mother...  What will happen to me and my family?

When I tried to imagine the day we had her burial, looking at her cold body, her face… I just can’t imagine what I will do… can I hold back my tears? I don’t think I can… but it is not nice to cry in front of the dead…

Last Sunday, I dreamed about my dad. He died. In my dream, I looked at his face, it hurts a lot. When I woke up, I can’t get the feeling out of me… If only they will be with me through all my life.

Ya Allah please don’t take my parents before I give them their dreams that they didn’t get the chance to fulfill.

Anime

It has been a while since I last wrote a looooooong post. Hehehe…
Just when I was thinking what kind of post I should share, I think I’ll go with the one that I’ll always look forward every weekend. Anime! The anime I’m watching weekly these days are Guilty Crown and Area No Kishi. I have watched a lot of anime for the past 5 years and I have to admit, most of the English vocabulary I got was from watching anime.
So...

What is anime?

Anime (アニメi/ˈænɨm/ or /ˈɑːnɨm/) is the Japanese abbreviated pronunciation of "animation." In English-speaking countries, anime refers to a style of animation originating in Japan. Anime, like manga, has a large audience in Japan and recognition throughout the world. Distributors can release anime via television broadcasts, directly to video, or theatrically, as well as online.

The History of Anime

The history of anime began at the start of the 20th century, when Japanese filmmakers experimented with the animation techniques that were being explored in the West. During the 1970s, anime developed further, separating itself from its Western roots, and developing distinct genres such as mecha and its Super Robot sub-genre. Typical shows from this period include Lupin III and Mazinger Z. During this period several filmmakers became famous, especially Hayao Miyazaki and Mamoru Oshii.
In the 1980s, anime was accepted in the mainstream in Japan, and experienced a boom in production. The rise of GundamMacrossReal RobotDragon Ball, and Space Opera set a boom as well. The film Akira set records in 1988 for the production costs of an anime film and went on to become a success worldwide. Later, in 2004, the same creators produced Steamboy, and later took over as the most expensive anime film. The Super Dimension Fortress Macross also became a worldwide success after being adapted as part of Robotech, and Megazone 23 also gained recognition in the West after it was adapted as Robotech: The Movie.
The success of The Walt Disney Company's 1937 feature film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs influenced Japanese animators. In the 1960s, manga artist and animator Osamu Tezuka adapted and simplified many Disney animation-techniques to reduce costs and to limit the number of frames in productions. He intended this as a temporary measure to allow him to produce material on a tight schedule with inexperienced animation-staff.
The 1970s saw a surge of growth in the popularity of manga – many of them later animated. The work of Osamu Tezuka drew particular attention: he has been called a "legend" and the "god of manga". His work – and that of other pioneers in the field – inspired characteristics and genres that remain fundamental elements of anime today. The giant robot genre (known as "Mecha" outside Japan), for instance, took shape under Tezuka, developed into theSuper Robot genre under Go Nagai and others, and was revolutionized at the end of the decade by Yoshiyuki Tomino who developed the Real Robot genre. Robot anime like the Gundam and The Super Dimension Fortress Macross series became instant classics in the 1980s, and the robot genre of anime is still one of the most common in Japan and worldwide today. In the 1980s, anime became more accepted in the mainstream in Japan (although less than manga), and experienced a boom in production. Following a few successful adaptations of anime in overseas markets in the 1980s, anime gained increased acceptance in those markets in the 1990s and even more at the turn of the 21st century.

Animation technique

Like all animation, the production processes of storyboarding, voice acting, character design, cel production and so on still apply. With improvements in computer technology, computer animation increased the efficiency of the whole production process.
Anime is often considered a form of limited animation. That means that stylistically, even in bigger productions the conventions of limited animation are used to fool the eye into thinking there is more movement than there is. Many of the techniques that are used comprise cost-cutting measures while working under a set budget.
Anime scenes place emphasis on achieving three-dimensional views. Backgrounds depict the scenes' atmosphere. For example, anime often puts emphasis on changing seasons, as can be seen in numerous anime, such as Tenchi Muyo!. Sometimes actual settings have been duplicated into an anime. The backgrounds for the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya are based on various locations within the suburb of Nishinomiya, Hyogo, Japan.
The large majority of anime uses traditional animation, which better allows for division of laborpose to pose approach and checking of drawings before they are shot – practices favored by the anime industry. Other mediums are mostly limited to independently made short films, examples of which are the silhouette and other cutout animation of Noburō Ōfuji, the stop motion puppet animation of Tadahito MochinagaKihachirō Kawamoto[39] and Tomoyasu Murata and the computer animation of Satoshi Tomioka (most famously Usavich).

Fansub

A fansub (short for fan-subtitled) is a version of a foreign film or foreign television program which has been translated by fans and subtitled into a language other than that of the original. They translate the dialogs and sometimes they even translate the songs.

Quotes I Love

The longer you have to wait for something, the more you will appreciate it when it finally arrives. (Always happen to me :D)
---====---
You have to get hurt. That’s how you learn.
The strongest people out there,
The ones who laugh the hardest with a genuine smile,
Those are the people who have fought the toughest battles.
Because they’ve decided that they’re not going to let anything hold them down, they’re showing the world who’s the boss.
---====---
If you cannot be a pencil to write anyone's
happiness, then you should at least try to be a
nice rubber to erase someone's sadness...
---====---
Some Were Saying Erasers Are for People, Who Make Errors, But The Wise Said; Erasers Are for People Who Are WILLING to Correct their Mistake.
---====---
Smile. Let everyone know that today you're a lot stronger than you were yesterday :D
---====---
Never erase your past. It shapes who you are today and will help you to be the person you’ll be tomorrow.

Happy Belated Birthday My Mom!

5/1/1960- the day my mom was born in Kampung Ayer Hitam Labu, Kampar, Perak.
12/2/2012- My brother surprised us with a Chocolate Cake written, Happy Birthday My Mom.

That day, our family went for a family trip at Pangkor Island. My mother already asked my brother to order a chocolate cake and a cheese cake from Pangkor Island Beach Resort, the place my brother went for his practical before we went there. (I don’t know the exact time because I just got to know about the cake when we aborted the ferry to Pangkor Island.)
In the evening, my brother went to get the cake. He took about 1 hour to come back at the chalet. I did not expect anything because maybe he just went to see his friends at the resort for the last time.
To make the story short, we opened the cake that night, and “Happy Birthday My Mom” was written on the chocolate cake.
Thanks to all the kitchen pastry crew of Pangkor Island Beach Resort for making a lovely cake for my mother!

* Too bad there is no picture of the Cheese Cake T_T

Through My Window

oops, too long. we will be very careful next time. enjoy :)

Behind this door was my bedroom. The place I once slept and studied. I can still remember it clearly the day I moved into this small city in mountain area. As I walked into the room, I stopped at a small window facing the green and blue mountains. I look outside and I remember something that happened 5 years ago, something that changed my life forever. This is the place where I learned the meaning of life, the feelings of being accepted, loved and appreciated. I can still remember everything like it was just yesterday. Everything started with this small window.
Five years ago, my family and I moved here because of my mother’s health. The polluted air in the previous city where we lived was not good for my mother, so we moved in here, a small town full of farms, Meranti trees grew up high and other trees around it.  “Dad, where is my room?” I asked my father once we unloaded our luggage. “It is upstairs. Your room is the first room from the left.” My father answered while holding my mother’s hand. My mother’s face was pale. I hoped our decision of coming here would not be a worthless effort.
“Wow!”  That was the first thing that came into my mind when I set foot into my room. This room would be my room from that day onward. After I looked around my room, my eyes stopped at a tiny window. “Let’s see what I can see.” I looked out from the window and what I saw was a fantastic view of nature. The clear sky, the blue mountain, the green forest, the farm, everything, it felt like I had become closer to the nature. It was so beautiful I feel like I am in a dream but I snapped out from it as I saw a house, a big house or maybe a mansion in the middle of the woods. Actually, I saw it on my way here earlier. It was so big no one could miss it.
“Danny! Come downstairs now, I have prepared some snack for us.”
“Ok mum, I’ll be there in a minute; I want to shut the window first.”I rushed downstairs and went to the balcony. My mother had prepared sandwiches and tea for us.
“What took you long to come downstairs Danny? Have you gotten old already?”
“Shut up, Dianna!” My sister was always trying to get on my nerve. Sometimes I wondered, are we even twins when our personalities differ from each other?
“Oh stop it, Dianna. Don’t pick a fight with your brother, Danny don’t raise your voice on your big sister like that.” My mother, always tried to be the conciliator between the two of us. “Ok, mum.” as always, I said it at the same exact time with my sister. “Aw, look at that, simultaneously. See u kids are twins after all” my mother said while laughing. She always said that she adored twins but she never imagined she would have twins too.
After having the snack, I went upstairs again to unpack my luggage. It was really tiring. I spent 3 hours to sort things out in my bedroom and I was quite impressed of myself.
“Mhm, you have done great young man. I never thought you would be able to sort the items in this room nicely. All spick and span. ” My mother appeared at the doorway of my room. Looking around with a gentle smile on her face. I would be lying if I said I did not feel proud when my mum said that. “You don’t want to come downstairs and eat Danny? I have prepared dinner. How about you go and tell your sister to come to the dining room. She is still in her room.”
I went to my Dianna’s room and peeked inside. “Di, mum has prepared dinner, let’s go downstairs” I said. I seem to have startled her and she turned around to look at me, “Gosh, can’t you at least knock before you come in? Come here, see this.” I walked towards her and looked at the direction she was pointing at. It was the mansion. She was pointing towards a room at the mansion. “Can I borrow your telescope?” I somewhat knew what was my sister going to do. “Let’s go downstairs. Mum and dad are waiting for us”
“That took a lot of time, what were you both doing making us wait so long?” Dad asked as we walked into the dining room.
“Danny, take care of your mum and sister while I’m gone, ok? I won’t be back until next holiday.” Dad said in the morning before he went back to our previous house. He still need to stay there because of work.
“Ok dad, have a safe trip. Goodbye.” Dad drove his car down the hill. I went back to my room and prepare for school. I wondered what kind of school I would be attending.
Before that, I remembered the mansion. I went to get my telescope and used it to get a closer view. There it is. The room Dianna pointed at yesterday. There was a boy in the room, seems to be around my age. I felt like a stalker and normally a stalker stalk a girl and I’m stalking a guy!
Kringgggg! The school bell rang. My sister and I were instructed to join the assembly in the morning.
“Students, today we got new friend joining our class. He just moved here. You can introduce yourself now“
“Nice to meet you, my name is Daniel bin Aarif. I’ve been living in Australia since the day I was born. I moved here three days ago due to my mother’s health” I walked to my seat and the classes went smoothly except the awkwardness I felt without Dianna at my side. She was put in the other class. “You can speak well considering you are from foreign country. Hello, my name is Lee.” A Chinese boy approached me before I went home.
My way back from school was really peaceful. I ran into the boy I saw this morning through the telescope. “Hello there.” I tried to greet him. “Hello, are you the one just moved in?” he asked and looked at my face. That was when I realized he looked pale. Maybe because my mother used to look like that, it was easy for me to recognize.
“Yeah, even though it is far but we are still neighbors. My name is Daniel. I hope we can be a good friend” I answered, thinking maybe befriending him was not a bad idea.
“Hello Daniel, my name is Khairi. You can call me Khai.” We shook hands and we talked about lots of things until we reached Khai’s house. Khai was generous. I liked him. “It was fun talking to you. Since house is just on your way to school, why don’t we walk together tomorrow?”  I can’t possibly reject his offer.
Days passed by without me realizing it. It was already end-of-year holiday. I was expecting my father to come back from Australia. His plane already landed this morning. He should be on his way here right now. Meanwhile, my mother looked better, not much but at least a bit energetic than before. Other than that, not a single thing changed. As for Khai, we have become best friend. We shared everything, we talked about everything. That was how I got to know Khai’s heart problem. Now I know why the first time I saw him, he was pale.
“Mum, I want to visit Khai at his place this evening. You know how Khai lately, he can’t even go walking outside. He must be bored. Can I go accompany him for a while?
“Sure you can. Don’t be back late, dear. It is dangerous wandering around at night and we will be having dinner with father after a while.” My mother said while folding clothes with Dianna. I know she was in cloud nine because her loved husband was going to be home after months of absence.
Upon reaching Khai’s room, Khai was laying on his bed. He seemed weak. “Hey Danny, guess what. My parents will be home tonight. I just got a call from them. Your dad will be here tonight too right?” Khai asked. I nodded. There was not much I can say. Deep in my heart, I felt aggrieved. This is the first time I got a best friend but I don’t think he will be here for much longer. Will I lose him?
“Why are you so quiet, Danny? Are you ok?” Khai’s voice broke the silence.
“No, it was nothing. Sorry. Did you say something?”  I can see Khai looked at me curiously. He must have noticed something. “You see, my doctor came yesterday…” he stopped talking. Considering his expression, I knew it was not some good news.
“You are quiet today, not like the talkative Danny I know. Is something wrong? Even though you are talking, it seems you are not paying attention to what I said. Is there something troubling you, Danny?” continuous questions rushing out from Khai’s lips before I left the room. Yeah, I know I was pathetic. My friend was dying and I can’t do anything about it.
The whole night I can’t sleep. I had been thinking, what it feels like to be dying? To know that we have only a bit time left before we die, what will I do? Everybody doesn’t know when or where they will die but as for Khai, he was just going to lie on the bed helplessly trying to gather some courage to comfort himself which was restless wondering if he will open his eyes tomorrow morning or he will fell asleep eternally.
Day by day passed, Khai became weaker and weaker. Every day while I was not at his house, I watched him through my window. He was suffering.
“Danny, you know I love to travel right? For someone like me, who can’t even go out much, being able to travel is a blessing.”
“Yeah I know. We will go travelling together when we finished studying so hurry and get better,” it slipped from my mouth. I looked at Khai, sadness emerged on his face. I can’t bear to watch him like this. “I will become a doctor. I will be a doctor and I will surely save you.” That was the only consolation word I can give to him. Khai only smiled but not the gentle smile he used to give me back when we first met. The smile got pieces of sadness, a fake smile in other word. I can’t ask for more, being able to smile was already an amazing thing to do. If I was at his place, I can’t bring myself to smile.
On that one rainy day, everything changed. The world I once knew full of greenery, has turned colourless. That was when I received word that Khai had gone. My dad once said I man can’t cry but I can’t help but cry. My tears were for my irreplaceable best friend.
“Danny what are you doing in there? Come out we need to go now. We will miss the flight tonight if you are not hurry.” Dianna showed up in front of the door. “He was a great guy.” Dianna said knowing what I am thinking. The days I spent with him, I can never forget. Through this window, I got to know you and through this window, I learnt how important someone’s life is. “Hey Khai, look at me. I am a doctor now.”
